Ahoy there it's the Monaco Yacht Show
Monaco Yacht Show #MYS2017
Looking back to the origins of the Show, it’s amazing to think that just 32 superyachts were on display in 1991. As the yachting industry itself expanded exponentially over the past 20 years, so did the Monaco Yacht Show, with the 2017 edition expecting 580 exhibitors hailing from 38 different countries and an unrivalled total of 125 of the world’s most impressive superyachts on display.
Only in Monaco. 4 days and upwards of 30,000 visitors eyeballing the most exciting yachts launched in the past year as well as the finest yachts available for sale or charter from all over the seven seas.
Several exciting new initiatives prove that organisers are dedicated to future-proofing the Monaco Yacht Show's success with developments such as the Monaco Yacht Summit, the Tenders & Toys exhibition area, the Car Deck - dedicated to rare and exclusive luxury cars, the MYS Sapphire Experience - a VIP program of visit reserved to the wealthy clientele of the Show, and the new Starboard exhibition-lounge, where on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th you can find some superFLY Aviation's team. Look for the over-sized iPads and distinct superFLY logo on the back of the jackets.
We'll also be available at the Fairmont Hotel's business centre at various times throughout the yacht show. Call +44 (0)208 242 4992 if you'd like to set up an appointment, even if it's just to say hello. We'd love to see you.

Monaco Heliport (IATA: MCM, ICAO: LNMC)
Monaco has an area of 1.95 square kilometres (0.75 square miles) which is smaller than Central Park in New York. It is the second-smallest and most densely populated sovereign state in the world and as such does not have an airport of its own with the closest being Aéroport de Nice Côte d'Azur, which is a 7 min helicopter flight. Monaco Heliport, also known as Monte Carlo Heliport, is the principality's only aviation facility and is situated in the district of Fontvieille.
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (IATA: NCE, ICAO: LFMN)
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is located 4 miles southwest of Nice, in the Alpes-Maritimes region, and is France's 3rd busiest airport. It serves as a gateway to Monaco with regular 7 min helicopter shuttle services to and from the Principality.
Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the main hub for passengers to or from the Côte d'Azur (French Riviera) and has a dedicated Business Aviation Terminal offfering VIP lounges, crew restrooms, specialist support services and luxury shopping facilities. Private jet clients can drive right up to the entrance of the terminal for discreet entry behind well places canopies.
Customs and immigration are available on-site 24 hours a day and Prior Permission Required (PPR) is mandatory for all arrivals and departures with all airport slots requiring advanced booking. Long-term aircraft parking is available and LFMN is fully equipped for providing support services and ground handling for all aircraft types.
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (IATA: CEQ, ICAO: LFMD)
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport is located approximately 60km from the Principality of Monaco and although very small is one of the major airport gateways for private jet passengers flying into and from the French Riviera area. The airport has a dedicated private jet terminal and its compact size allows very short passenger handling times making it an ideal airport for VIP clientele.
The airport is open 7 days a week from 08:00 to 20:00 local time during winter, and from 07:00 until 30 minutes after sunset during summer. Prior Permission Required (PPR) and airport slots are only mandatory in May during the peak times of the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix. This airport permits planes and helicopters to park very close to each other making connections from a plane to a helicopter, or vice versa, very quick and easy.
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport's support services include:
- Aerial operations (FLP filing, weather briefing, Notams, slot management)
- VIP lounge and crew lounge with Internet access
- Courtesy vehicle for crews
- Quality catering
- Hangar parking
- Distribution of jet fuel and Avgas

5 Facts about Monaco
- Monaco is the second-smallest independent state in the world out of 193. At a tiny 0.44 square kilometres compared to Monaco's 1.95 square kilometres, only Vatican City is smaller. It is a playground for tourists and a haven for the wealthy, the former drawn by its climate and the beauty of its setting and the latter by its advantageous tax regime.
- Monaco, a constitutional monarchy ruled by Prince Albert II, is surrounded on three sides by the Alpes Maritimes region of France and the Mediterranean on the other.
- Even though tourism drives Monaco's economy with much of the income derived from gambling, Monegasques (Monaco natives) are not permitted to gamble in the principality's Casinos. Monegasques craving a flutter have to cross the invisible border into neighbouring French towns such as Menton to try their luck.
- The country is a major banking centre and closely guards the privacy of its clients.
- Monaco does not levy income tax on its residents, hence it having the largest concentration of billionaires per square mile anywhere in the world.
